Grandfather and Grandson dressed in arsenic and old lace bowties and tie

Good Day Sunshine...

I’m Emma, founder of Arsenic and Old Lace, where I handcraft ties, bow ties, and accessories with timeless style and traditional techniques. My mission is simple: to create pieces you’ll treasure for years — from William Morris neckties to Liberty London pocket squares and bold floral bow ties.

From my Nottingham studio in the Midlands, I design each piece with care, inspired by Britain’s rich tie-making heritage. Every order is made to measure using sustainably sourced fabrics and packaged in recyclable materials — because true style should be elegant and kind to the planet.

Whether for a wedding, celebration, or everyday refinement, my collection is designed to help you look and feel your best. With free worldwide shipping to the USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and beyond, your next favourite accessory is just a few clicks away.

Introducing...

The Nottingham Collection

I’m so excited to share our latest collection with you—The Nottingham. This one feels especially close to home, not just because every piece is handmade right here in our Nottingham studio, but because it’s a tribute to the city itself—a place full of history, creativity, and quiet rebellion (much like our favourite textiles).

We’ve used a striking neon version of Strawberry Thief, a design first created by William Morris in 1883. Part of a series that wove together animals and florals, it was daring in its day—and this 2022 Classic Collection reprint carries that spirit forward with a bold, modern twist.

From bow ties to pocket squares and ties, each piece is thoughtfully crafted with care and precision, ready to add a splash of history and personality to your wardrobe.

Emma is an amazing craftsperson.

This tie is scrumptious and we are so excited to have it become part of the story of our daughter’s wedding as my husband wears it walking her down the aisle.

Thankyou so much!

I ordered matching ties and bowties for my wedding.

Emma was very helpful and accommodating with getting them to us in time for the wedding.

They look exactly as pictured and are great quality. We had so many compliments on them and couldn't be happier with how they turned out!

The bow tie is fabulous!

It can be hard to find one for a woman that goes to the smaller neck size and this was spot on.

Obviously awesome quality. Very happy.
